You will receive the exclusive rights to a geographic area that will prevent others from opening a Villa La PAWS® Resort & Spa within a defined territory however; you are permitted to take in pets owned by any customer from other locations. One of our marketing targets is the Traveling Pets. A Villa La PAWS customer has all of its contact and pet’s information in a single computer system so reservations and check-in is easy and quick. This gives the Villa La PAWS® franchisee another revenue stream.

How long will it take to get started? |

You are in control of many of the variables in getting your Villa La PAWS Resort & Spa open. Finding a good location with the proper zoning and permits is the biggest and most important decision you will make. Once you sign your lease you should be able set up your facility, attend Villa La PAWS training and be open in 90 days.

Remember, you are operating a Cage-Free facility which means you will not incur the high costs of kennels and runs.

Competitors get the big bucks coming in with the boarding amenities: cabins, casitas, suites, and so on. This is their basic high-end enclosures or what we call classy cages! Your competitors can charge more for the amenities each of these enclosures have, TV, larger size, webcams in the enclosure, etc. Money is one reason the other is it is much easier to warehouse dogs. Do you think the dog likes his plush surroundings?
They are isolated and are stressed out already with separation anxiety and all this does in heighten the anxiety and the customer is paying more for this. Don’t get me started!

You don’t have any cages at Villa La PAWS® Resort & Spa? |

OK, we do have drying cages in the grooming area so we can get the wiggly ones dry, otherwise they run around cage-free. We do also have large crates in a room called Special Care. For those guests that have been crate trained and find comfort and solace in a crate when they sleep. We will put them in a crate in the evening along with their prized possessions, blanket, toys, etc. It’s all about the pet.
