Villa La PAWS Founder/CEO/President, Tom Murray, has assembled a “second-to-none” Franchising Team with a extensive business and pet-industry experience.

The charter for the Franchising Team at Villa La PAWS is to expand our product offering nationally and internationally by identifying and securing the right franchisee, in the right geographical territory and then provide them with superior support.

Our Time-To-Market Program was developed after we examined other pet service franchise product offerings and the critical challenges that they encountered. Many of these critical business challenges, financing, securing a suitable location, permits/licensing and build-out, were left up to the franchisee to overcome after they purchased a franchise with a non-refundable fee.

Our founder, Tom Murray, found this practice unacceptable and unfair to a new franchisee. Navigating through the initial challenges of opening a pet care facility can be daunting and frustrating without professional guidance and assistance.

We are so committed to facing these challenges with you; we have phased all of our different franchise payment schedules to coincide with your completion of the initial critical challenges.

The following Villa La PAWS Franchising Team has been assembled to assist you in every phase and facet of your franchise development an on-going operation.

TOM MURRAY, Founder/CEO/President
A 30+ year veteran as a business consultant, business owner and senior executive in the computer hardware and software industries, PLUS 6+ years as owner of Phoenix-based Villa La PAWS Pet Resort & Spa (formerly The Paws Concierge and The Paws Resort & Spa).
Tom provides the strategic direction for the company and overall senior management. He is leading the franchising initiative for the company and is also responsible for the overall financial performance of the company.
Under Tom's leadership, Villa La PAWS has been honored with the "Best of Phoenix" award for 3 out of the last 4 years.

THERESA MCQUOWN, Chief Operations Officer
Theresa has over two decades of operational management experience that includes extensive staff management/acquisition/retention, finance and accounting systems.  She also maintains all of the standards and procedures for Villa La PAWS.
Theresa is also a significant contributor to PAWS University, developing and delivering  courses for franchise support and career development.

JOHN DUNATOV, FRANCHISE MARKETING & SALES
John is President of Phoenix Global Consulting Inc. (PGIC) an established franchise marketing and sales company headquartered in Scottsdale AZ.  John and his staff have spent months examining, investigating and becoming knowledgeable about the pet care industry.  John, his staff and an established national broker network will identify and qualify all potential franchise applicants.

After 20+ years of management and marketing expertise for numerous Fortune 500 corporations, Eileen pioneered Phoenix's dog daycare industry in 2000 as Top Dog of multi-award winning It’s A Ruff Life! . She is one of the U.S. pet industry's foremost marketing and business development experts, and a coveted professional speaker. In addition to masterminding the company's marketing and branding, Eileen cultivates and manages all print, Internet, television and radio visibility. She also focuses on customer acquisition and retention activities, and serves as the primary company spokesperson.

KELLY MCKONE, REAL ESTATE SPECIALIST
Kelly is President of KM Realty Services headquartered in Phoenix AZ.  Kelly has assisted Villa la Paws in identifying and securing Resort locations in Arizona and understands our required location dynamics, high profile traffic areas, permit/licensing restrictions and meeting our costing ratios and construction management.

Kelly has a national network of real estate brokers that he has educated to assisting our franchisees with finding and securing an approved Villa La PAWS Resort location.

GLENN ISHIBASHI, Senior VP of Information Technology
In addition to 25 years at IBM, Glenn has 13 years experience in the IT consulting and services industries including project management, business process consulting, and sales, branch, and executive management.
Glenn provides the technology roadmap, strategy and project implementation management that ensures our commitment to using technology as one of our key competitive differentiators. He is responsible for our internet, intranet, server applications, and IP telephone application.

JEANNE MURRAY, VP of Paws Charities
With many years of community involvement with various charities and benefit fundraisers, Jeanne provides the leadership and management for The PAWS Charity Program.
She is responsible for the selection of its beneficiaries and organizational support for pet related events and fundraisers.

CONSTANCE SUTTON, General Counsel
Constance has been a managing partner of a Phoenix-based law firm for 15 years. Her areas of concentration are contract law and civil litigation. Constance provides legal advice on all Villa La PAWS real estate leasing and business/real estate acquisitions. Her firm is also well versed and experienced in developing Small Business Administration (SBA) loan packages.

WENDI FAIRCLOTH, Director of Training

Wendi is an experienced dog trainer and animal behavioral specialist. She has extensive experience in service dog training which mandates thorough training of the animal and the human partner. Wendi provides the dog training curriculum, as well as management of trainers and their scheduled training assignments. Through PAWS University she conducts PAWS Counselor training which includes dog behavior, preventative measures, and safety for the dog and the handler

ELIZABETH HERNANDEZ, Marketing Director.
Elizabeth comes to Villa La PAWS from California where she was instrumental in marketing, sales and franchise support for a major pet services retailer.
Elizabeth oversees the launching of all marketing initiatives, conducts event planning and provides franchise support.
Elizabeth is also an active participant and instructor for Paws University.

Beth Cochran specializes in media relations, social media strategy, and developing and implementing innovative and strategic communications plans for Villa La PAWS. She believes passion, a powerful message and the right relationships will drive the success of Villa La PAWS. Beth is the President of WiredPR.

Laura Russell, Grooming Supervisor, Specialist
Laura has over twenty years of extensive grooming experience.  Laura currently serves as our grooming manager at Villa La PAWS on Bell in Phoenix.  She is experienced in the set-up, management and all of the business aspects of running a profitable grooming salon.

She is also an instructor for Paws University and an active participant in the career development for new groomers.

Jayne Haines, Grooming Supervisor, Specialist
Jayne has over twenty years of grooming experience and currently serves as our Grooming Manager at Villa La PAWS on Shea in Phoenix.  Jayne is a active participant in the Paws University Groomer training program.  She serves as an instructor, coach and mentor for new groomers.

CHRIS IRONS, VLP Resort Manager - Bell Rd, Phoenix
Chris has been with Villa La PAWS for over 5 years. Starting as a Dog Counselor and then promoted to Resort Manager over 4 years ago. Chris a solid background in the pet industry previously working for the Arizona Humane Society and other retail pet service providers.
Chris is also an active participant and instructor for Paws University.
